Job summary

Carr’s Tree Service is seeking an experienced Crew Leader to guide daily tree care operations and develop high-performing crews. The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and professional execution of trimming, pruning, removal, and equipment operation in the upper Midwest.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, English proficiency, OSHA/ANSI knowledge, and the ability to manage crew performance while coordinating with landowners and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• Proven leadership ability and strong communication skills.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Solid understanding of OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license, DOT medical card, and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety meetings; ensure job briefings and documentation.
• Supervise 1–4 crew members; provide coaching and on‑site training.
• Oversee tree trimming, pruning, removal, brush chipping, and equipment operations.
• Communicate with landowners, customers, utility reps, and the public.
• Safely operate and maintain bucket trucks, stump grinders, skid loaders, claw trucks, and chippers.
• Complete paperwork accurately; track crew performance and productivity metrics.
• Be available for extended hours, overtime, weekends, and storm response.
