Job summary

Wright Tree Service seeks a Crew Leader to support and coach the crew in meeting production goals. You will identify safety hazards, ensure compliance, allocate tasks, and coordinate with the General Foreperson on job site priorities.

Responsibilities include enforcing company safety practices, performing pre-job briefings, supervising herbicide applications, and maintaining proper records of work orders and manhours. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least 3 years’ experience on tree trimming or clearing crews
• High School diploma preferred but not required
• First-Aid and CPR certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety policies and coaches crew on safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Designates crew assignments and prioritizes on-the-job tasks.
• Uses herbicide equipment and maintains application records.
• Obtains access permissions from property owners and coordinates with customers.
• Trims, removes, or felled trees using climbing equipment and ground tools.
• Performs pre-inspections and task planning for hazards.
• Maintains production records and reports (timesheets, work orders).
• Sets up traffic control and protects workers and the public.
