Qualifications

• Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to take direction and communicate effectively.
• Physically able to lift 20–50 lbs.
• Fluent in reading and writing English.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pruning and tree take downs using chainsaws and hand tools.
• Demonstrate proper pruning techniques and handle trimming up to 20 feet high.
• Maintain tools and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow best practices.
• Identify trees and diseases and lead small work crews safely.
• Support the Tree Worker 2 in tree-related activities.
• Deliver courteous, high-quality service to clients and staff.

What You'll Do

• Assist with specialized pruning and tree take downs, using equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools.
• Demonstrate proper tree wounding/pruning techniques and handle trimming up to 20 feet high.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings and implement best practices.
• Identify trees and diseases and lead small work crews safely and efficiently.
• Support the Tree Worker 2 in tree-related activities.
• Deliver exceptional service to clients, work-site partners, and Bemus staff in a courteous and efficient manner.

Requirements
