Job summary

Bemus Landscape, INC. is seeking a Tree Care Climber to join our outdoor team in San Marcos, CA. You will assist with pruning and tree removals using chainsaws and related tools, while maintaining equipment and delivering courteous service to clients.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and writing English.
• Must be physically fit to lift 20–50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specialized pruning and tree take downs using chainsaws, chippers and hand tools.
• Demonstrate proper pruning techniques and trim up to 20 feet high.
• Maintain tools and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings and apply best practices.
• Identify trees and diseases and lead small crews safely.
• Support the Tree Worker 2 in related activities and deliver quality service.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with specialized pruning and tree take downs, using equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools.
• Demonstrate proper tree wounding/pruning techniques and handle trimming up to 20 feet high.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings and implement best practices.
• Identify trees and diseases and lead small work crews safely and efficiently.
• Support the Tree Worker 2 in tree-related activities.
• Deliver exceptional service to clients, work-site partners, and Bemus staff in a courteous and efficient manner.

What We’re Looking For:

A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Ability to take direction and communicate effectively.
Physically fit, capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 20-50 lbs.
Fluent in reading and writing English.
A valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
