Job summary

Asplundh Careers in Wisconsin seeks a Trimmer Trainee to join our field crew. This full-time, non-exempt position involves trimming trees and debris, operating brush and bucket equipment, and supporting crew in day-to-day tasks.

No prior experience required; candidates must be 18+, able to work outdoors in varying weather, and willing to learn safety procedures. Pre-employment checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination and physical stamina.
• Ability to work above head, climb, and function in varied weather.
• No fear of heights and valid driver’s license preferred.
• Entry-level position; no experience required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operates and maintains all required tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent regrowth.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush into a woodchipper and assists in training new staff.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and safe.
