Job summary

Appalachian Dental Care in Boone, NC is seeking an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our full-service practice. You will present treatment options, review costs and insurance, and coordinate complex cases like implants with the doctor and team.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in dentistry, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to scheduling and patient follow-up. We offer benefits and a four-day work week in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of dental experience preferred.
• Experience presenting treatment plans and achieving strong case acceptance.
• Working knowledge of dental insurance, benefits, and pre-authorizations.
• Comfort discussing finances and third-party financing with patients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Present treatment plans to patients clearly and confidently.
• Explain costs, insurance coverage, and patient responsibility.
• Verify insurance and prepare benefit breakdowns and pre-authorizations.
• Present financing options and our in-house Wellness Plan.
• Coordinate larger cases with the doctor and clinical team.
• Follow up with patients on pending and unscheduled treatment.
• Schedule treatment appointments to keep the schedule productive.
• Coordinate free dental implant consultations.
• Provide exceptional customer service from first contact to completed treatment.

• Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, caring, and confident way
