Job summary

Appalachian Dental Care in Boone, NC is growing and looking for an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our team. We offer a four-day work week and a range of benefits to support our patients and staff.

You will present treatment plans, review costs and insurance coverage, verify benefits, and discuss financing options. You will coordinate complex cases with the doctor and clinical team, follow up with patients, and ensure exemplary service from initial contact to completed treatment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dental experience preferred.
• Proven experience presenting treatment plans and achieving strong case acceptance.
• Working knowledge of dental insurance, benefits, and pre-authorizations.
• Comfort discussing finances and third-party financing with patients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, caring, and confident way.
• Review and explain costs, insurance coverage, and patient responsibility.
• Verify insurance and complete detailed benefit breakdowns and pre-authorizations.
• Present financing options, payment plans, and our in-house Wellness Plan.
• Coordinate larger cases such as implants, dentures, crowns, and clear aligners with the doctor and clinical team.
• Follow up with patients on pending and unscheduled treatment.
• Schedule treatment appointments and help keep the schedule productive.
• Coordinate free dental implant consultations.
• Provide exceptional customer service from the first conversation to completed treatment.
