Job summary

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry/NCOSO in Durham, NC is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to join our Oral Surgery + Orthodontics office. You will be the primary patient contact, manage scheduling, and review treatment plans with patients while explaining financial options.

Ideal candidates have prior dental office experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with doctors and team members.

Are you an experienced dental professional who enjoys connecting with patients, discussing treatment, and helping people feel confident about their dental care? Lane & Associates Family Dentistry/NCOSO is looking for a Treatment Coordinator to join our Durham NC Oral Surgery + Orthodontics office!

What You Will Do:

As a Treatment Coordinator, you will be an important part of both the patient experience and the success of the practice. You will:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, providing a warm, welcoming, and professional experience.


• Manage a multi-line phone system, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.


• Help maintain productive provider schedules by effectively coordinating patient appointments.


• Check patients in and out with professionalism and attention to detail.


• Present and review treatment plans with patients while helping them understand their recommended care and financial options.


• Support treatment acceptance by confidently communicating the value of recommended treatment.


• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility and assist patients with understanding their benefits.


• Collect payments and follow established financial policies and procedures.


• Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in Denticon.


• Maintain accurate electronic patient records while following HIPAA and company privacy requirements.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.


• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide an exceptional patient experience.


• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the practice.

What We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in a dental office - especially with Oral Surgery and Orthodontics


• Experience as a Treatment Coordinator, Dental Receptionist, or similar dental administrative role


• Knowledge of dental terminology and common dental procedures


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Excellent organization and attention to detail


• The ability to work effectively with both doctors and team members


• A positive, professional, and dependable demeanor


• High School Diploma and/or GED
