Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services seeks a field-inspection role focused on wooden utility poles. The person will learn inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards while traveling extensively to assess pole condition and related equipment.

Training will cover pole components, maintenance techniques, and reporting. Responsibilities include data collection, record-keeping, and adherence to safety regulations in outdoor environments, with a focus on reliability and safety for customers

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check and a drug test.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 40 lbs, and hike on varying terrain.
• Demonstrates leadership and responsibility for safe operations of vehicle and tools.
• Maintains a professional attitude representing the organization.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to learn basic utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn and apply inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and deterioration signs.
• Assist in identifying issues and help develop a maintenance plan.
• Complete inspection records and report in compliance with codes and regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
• Maintain records for tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and governmental safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
