Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services in Michigan is seeking a Pole Inspector Apprentice to help ensure the safety, reliability, and functionality of wooden utility poles. You will learn inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards while working with Utility Pole Inspectors, with extensive travel required.

The role involves outdoor work, lifting up to 40 lbs, a valid driver's license, background and drug checks, and statewide/regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Driver's license with clean record; ability to pass background & drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training in pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Evaluate pole condition and signs of deterioration.
• Identify potential issues and assist in maintenance planning.
• Complete inspection records and report to regulations.
• Collect field data and report regularly.
• Maintain records of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
