Job summary

Gentle Dental in San Diego is hiring full-time Treatment Coordinators to guide patients from diagnosis to treatment acceptance, communicating financial options and scheduling.

You’ll work in a fast-paced dental office, coordinating care, ensuring accurate insurance and predeterminations, and helping patients navigate costs while delivering a positive smile experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year front office experience in a medical setting.
• 1 year of Ortho experience.
• Computer literacy required; QSI experience a plus.
• Experience presenting treatment plans and cost discussions preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Discuss treatment options and financial arrangements with patients.
• Track and report patient progress and enter treatment plans in the system.
• Understand insurance plans, exclusions, and limitations.
• Ensure predeterminations are submitted and patients notified of status and costs.

OurTreatment Coordinators manage patients full cycle from clinical diagnosis to treatment acceptance. You will successfully communicate financial planning and available options based on the proposed treatment. Pay Information:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour/DOE

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1+ years of front office experience in a medical environment
• 1 year of experience in Ortho
• Computer literate a must (QSI experience is a plus)
• Previous experience presenting Treatment Plans and going over the costs of services preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Discuss treatment options, establish treatment schedules, and prepare financial arrangements with patients.
• Monitor each patient’s progress to ensure completion of dental treatment plan and report patient status to attending doctor as well as enter and track patient treatment plans in computer system.
• Be knowledgeable in various insurance plans, manuals, exclusions and limitations.
• Ensure that all forms for acceptance (predeterminations to third parties benefit providers) have been submitted and patients have been notified of status and their financial responsibilities.
