Job summary

Hana Brands is seeking a Temp Sushi and Fresh Foods Chef to prepare sushi rice, cut fish, and assemble dishes in a live sushi bar setting. You will maintain high food safety standards, minimize waste, and work independently across kiosks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of food handling experience.
• Excellent knife skills and ability to cut large fish for sashimi and nigiri.
• Valid food handler's card or ability to obtain one before first shift.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe handling practices.
• Able to communicate in English with customers and teammates.
• Professional conduct and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions.
• Flexible to work the full length of the assignment.
• Align with the company mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Expert in cutting, slicing, and filleting fish, vegetables, and produce.
• Prepare sushi rice to specification and create rolls per guidelines.
• Prepare various sushi dishes and other fresh foods per company standards and safety guidelines.
• Inspect quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish; manage waste and costs.
• Ensure par levels and daily volume are maintained; keep workspace clean to prevent contamination.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and convey value.
