Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to plan, forecast, and direct Self-Perform Operations (SPO) on drywall and related trades in Austin, TX. You will supervise SPO staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to safety, schedule, and contract scope while optimizing production and labor utilization.

The role requires coordinating with forepersons and project teams, managing procurement, and driving continuous improvement through lean scheduling methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; construction management is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating field teams and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of lean principles and scheduling practices.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, and direct Self-Perform Operations (SPO) staff and trades to meet project goals.
• Establish production requirements with trades and monitor weekly progress.
• Oversee safety plans and quality control for SPO work.
• Coordinate procurement, take-off verification, and subcontractor payments.
• Lead hiring decisions related to trade labor and manage staffing levels.
