Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead Self‑Perform Operations (SPO) drywall and related trades on a high‑profile interior project. You will coordinate SPO staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to align with contract scope, safety, schedule, and quality requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of interior systems, and experience applying lean Last Planner scheduling. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent managing interior trades.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of interior systems, tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of building construction, scheduling, cost control, contracts, drawings and specs, and trade practices.
• Knowledge of lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Sequence work to meet project schedule and incorporate SPO activities.
• Establish production requirements with Trades Foreperson and measure weekly progress.
• Monitor and report SPO quantities and completion; share findings at production meetings.
• Monitor material deliveries per project schedule.
• Assist with hiring and termination decisions for trade labor.
• Develop relationships to secure qualified labor for staffing needs.
• Plan and implement performance of work related to scheduling, logistics, and staffing.
• Resolve field issues with Owners, Architects, Engineers.
• Manage monthly estimates, payrolls, and subcontractor payments.
• Analyze drawings to identify constraints and opportunities; support bidding.
