Job summary

ARCO is seeking a seasoned field leader to manage ground-up commercial construction projects nationwide. You will oversee construction and administrative activities from day one, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery and adherence to project specs.

You must be willing to travel as projects require and have a strong background in leading teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of construction experience, with the last 5 years as lead superintendent on commercial, distribution, manufacturing, and/or cold storage projects.
• Can live anywhere, but must be willing to travel as projects require.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
• Experience and proficiency working with an iPad or similar tablet highly preferred.
• Willing to travel minimally within the Southeast Region.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities, organization structure, staff, and equipment requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and time schedules.
• Assist in duties including shipment of materials, approvals of shop drawings, and material samples.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors of schedule changes and assist in cost reporting.
• Review requisitions, field PO's, invoices, and other reports.
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects to maintain project progress.
