Job summary

Navigate Search is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee nationwide construction projects for Amazon / Distribution Projects. This full-time, on-the-road role requires taking ownership from mobilization through punch list and driving the schedule and trades on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of GC field experience, including 3+ years as a Superintendent.
• Experience on ground-up and mid-sized commercial projects.
• Knowledge of multiple product types, trades, and means/methods.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or P6, MS Office, and DocuSign.
• Ability to read construction documents and specs.
• OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain) and First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Strong leadership — hold subs accountable while keeping collaboration.
• Resourceful, dependable, and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own daily field operations from mobilization through closeout.

Traveling Superintendent - Amazon / Distribution Projects

Our client, an established national general contractor, is hiring a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations on construction projects nationwide. This is a full-time traveling role — ideal for a hands-on field leader who's comfortable living on the road, taking ownership of a site from mobilization through punch list, and driving the schedule and trades on the ground.

You'll be the face of the project in the field — managing safety, quality, productivity, and the day-to-day execution of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Own daily field operations from site mobilization through project closeout
• Develop, maintain, and drive the project schedule
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and self-perform crews
• Lead daily huddles, subcontractor meetings, and owner walks
• Enforce site safety standards and maintain OSHA compliance
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and punch list completion
• Partner with the Project Manager on RFIs, submittals, change management, and document control
• Maintain clean, organized job sites that reflect the company's standards

What You Bring

• 7+ years of GC field experience, including 3+ years as a Superintendent
• Proven ability to run ground-up and mid-sized commercial projects
• Strong working knowledge of multiple product types, trades, and means/methods
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or P6 (schedule reading/updating), MS Office, and DocuSign
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain); First Aid/CPR preferred
• Strong leadership presence — able to hold subs accountable while keeping the job collaborative
• Resourceful, dependable, and calm under pressure

Physical Requirements

• Full-time on-site presence in active construction environments
• Regular walking of 1–2 miles per day; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs (and more as the job requires)
• Full-time travel to project sites across the country
