Job summary

Elsdon Group in North Carolina is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead large tilt wall warehouse, food distribution center, and cold storage projects across the United States. Base in NC with regular travel to sites nationwide, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will manage on-site crews, coordinate subcontractors, oversee budgets, and maintain documentation while upholding OSHA standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with a focus on tilt wall warehouse, food distribution centers, and cold storage facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of tilt wall warehouse and food distribution center projects, with an emphasis on cold storage facilities.
• Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring project goals are met and issues are resolved.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation, including daily logs and progress reports, is up-to-date and accurate.
• Manage resources, materials, and budgets efficiently to prevent delays and minimize costs.
• Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Travel to various project sites nationwide, with regular home base in North Carolina.

Job Description:

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will oversee large-scale tilt wall warehouse and food distribution center projects across the United States, focusing on cold storage facilities. You will be the on-site leader, ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in commercial construction, particularly with large-scale warehouse and distribution center projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to travel regularly and work on-site across various locations in the U.S.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience.
