Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior HVAC/MEP Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC/MEP delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. You will coordinate design teams, contractors and owners to meet performance, safety, quality and financial targets.

You will develop schedules, budgets and cash flow, oversee procurement, manage change orders, and lead commissioning and QA/QC activities while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive MEP/HVAC project management experience on commercial projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, plumbing, controls, electrical coordination and MEP construction methods.
• Proven experience with project cost control, scheduling (MS Project or equivalent), and contract administration.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, local plumbing/electrical codes) and permitting processes.
• Experience with design tools and documentation (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination) and commissioning procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to effectively lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Certifications such as PMP, PE, or industry trade certifications are preferred.
• Ability to travel to job sites and maintain a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and report project schedules, budgets, forecasts and cash flow; manage cost control, invoicing and margins.

• Manage procurement of equipment and materials, negotiate with vendors, and oversee long-lead items to mitigate schedule risk.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise mechanical contractors and subcontractors on site; enforce quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Oversee installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including ductwork, piping, hydronic systems, controls and electrical interfaces; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare and manage change orders, claims and client approvals; maintain thorough documentation of scope changes and impacts.
• Lead commissioning, start-up and testing activities; ensure systems meet performance requirements and final acceptance criteria.
• Implement and enforce project-level QA/QC and safety programs; conduct site inspections and progress reviews.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as primary client and stakeholder contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop junior project staff, coordinate internal project teams, and support business development and estimating as needed.

Senior HVAC/MEP Project Manager

Experienced project manager responsible for leading the delivery of commercial HVAC and MEP projects from pre-construction through closeout. The role combines technical HVAC and MEP knowledge with strong contract, budget, schedule and client-management skills to ensure projects meet performance, safety, quality and financial targets. The Senior Project Manager will coordinate design teams, mechanical contractors, subcontractors and owners to drive successful execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on commercial projects.
