Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Monroe, LA seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) on complex projects. You will supervise SPO trades, coordinate safety, quality, and schedules, and ensure adherence to contract requirements.

You will develop and integrate SPO work plans with the main project schedule, manage labor decisions, mentor forepersons, and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, and engineers. Travel on site is expected as project demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as Superintendent or related roles (Trades Foreperson, Surveyor, Project Engineer).
• In-depth knowledge of self-perform work, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of EH&S practices and safety codes.
• Ability to read, interpret contract documents, drawings, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement jobsite safety program with EH&S to support SPO and trades.
• Develop Job Hazard Analysis with Forepersons for daily pre-task planning.
• Foster environment with Turner's Active Caring philosophy.
• Understand project scope, complexity, and contract.
• Sequence work to meet schedule; coordinate SPO activities with Project Superintendent.
• Develop and integrate SPO schedules into main project schedule.
• Oversee production, establish requirements with Trades Foreperson, track weekly progress.
• Manage hiring/termination decisions related to Trade labor.
