Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Superintendent to plan, direct, and coordinate Self-Perform Operations and trades on a project located in Monroe, LA. Travel expectations are high, and the role emphasizes safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Responsibilities include leading foremen, coordinating crews, and ensuring procurement and take-off accuracy while applying lean construction methods and Turner standards.
Plan, forecast, lead, direct and coordinate work of Self-Perform Operations (SPO) staff, subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure execution of work planned adheres to contracted scope for safety, schedule sequence, quality of work performed, and production planning and tracking. Supervise trade labor in area of responsibility.
Performance of the duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction hoists, climb ladders, negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
The work environment is on-site construction, exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Noise is usually moderate to very loud.
