Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) on a major project in Monroe, LA. You will supervise SPO staff, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring safety, quality, and production align with contract expectations.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety programs, planning with forepersons, and integrating SPO work into the main schedule.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team development to supervise SPO trades and staff.
• Strong project management with ability to prioritize, schedule, and deliver.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid knowledge of EH&S practices and construction safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel as required by project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement self-perform safety program with EH&S team.
• Create Job Hazard Analyses with Forepersons for daily planning.
• Foster Safe, respectful workplace aligning with Turner's Active Caring philosophy.
• Understand project scope, contract, and production requirements.
• Sequence and integrate SPO work into the overall project schedule.
• Manage SPO schedules, resources, and productivity to meet deadlines.
• Oversee layout, surveying, and documentation of construction activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust manpower to optimize production.
• Administer staffing levels, procurement, and delivery of materials.
• Provide mentorship to SPO forepersons and resolve field issues with leaders.
