Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to oversee the Health and Safety Program on projects and ensure compliance with contract safety requirements. You will lead safety training, conduct site inspections, analyze hazards, and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction safety, a bachelor’s in OH&S or related field, and proficiency with MS Office and Apple OS. Strong communication and OSHA liaison skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of Health and Safety Program (HSP) and contractual safety requirements at the project level.
• Lead safety training, inspections, and risk assessments to prevent incidents.
• Coordinate with project teams and respond to incidents and investigations.
• Maintain records, report findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Liaise with external agencies (OSHA, EPA, DOT) as needed and support claims management.
