Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Safety Engineer to oversee project-wide safety and health administration. You will review on-site programs, conduct site audits, investigate incidents, and train staff while managing workers’ compensation processes. Travel up to 40% is required to support multiple sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field, OSHA 500/502 within four years, and strong knowledge of fall protection and electrical safety. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in OH&S, Construction Mgmt, Civil Eng or related field.
  • 0–3 years field experience in construction safety, or 5 years focused on construction safety with CSP/OHST/CHST.
  • Current OSHA 500 or 502 training within four years.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED training within two years.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Administers GC and Owner safety program requirements.
  • Develops onsite safety programs as required.
  • Performs site audits and makes corrective recommendations.
  • Leads accident investigations.
  • Trains personnel on safety practices.
  • Reports workers’ compensation claims and administers WC processes.
  • Maintains HAZCOM records and safety documentation.
  • Maintains Hazard Analysis Documentation.
  • Administers First Aid, CPR, and AED as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with Health and Safety Program and company goals.
