Job summary

Hoar is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to oversee the administration of the Health and Safety Program (HSP) and contractual safety requirements to prevent unsafe working conditions at the project level.

You will lead safety and training, develop and implement the HSP, coordinate inspections, document findings, investigate incidents, support claims, and maintain records while working with project teams and external regulators.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction safety.
• Proficient in documenting safety programs and reports.
• Ability to interact with OSHA, EPA, DOT and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of the Health and Safety Program (HSP) and contract safety requirements.
• Coordinate and conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and program evaluations.
• Document inspections, reports and corrective actions; track follow-ups.
• Investigate incidents and support the claims management process.
• Maintain complete safety records and ensure compliance across projects.
• Engage with project teams and external entities to mitigate risk and ensure safety.
• Audit pre-task safety analyses for depth and accuracy.
