Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX seeks a Traveling Project Safety Manager to lead EH&S on a multi-site data center project. You will partner with project teams, enforce safety policies, train workers, and implement risk controls across site locations while traveling.

This full-time role requires a CHST certification, OSHA 30, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field; minimum of 4 years of construction safety experience
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment
• OSHA 30-hour training required; First Aid/CPR/B BP certifications current
• Knowledge of Federal, state, and local EH&S regulations
• Ability to lead corrective actions and implement risk mitigation measures
• Travel required; access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project, aligned with HQ policies
• Provide safety leadership and resource allocation for the project
• Develop and implement action plans to mitigate known and potential hazards
• Train project staff, subcontractors, and Turner Trade employees on EH&S programs
• Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to regulations and owner requirements
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance; conduct safety audits and close out violations
• Generate safety reports and collaborate with leadership on metrics and improvements
• Conduct preconstruction safety meetings and ensure proper risk mitigation plans
