Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Project Safety Manager for a full-time traveling assignment. You will lead on-site safety efforts on large-scale projects, coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and client reps, and develop site-specific safety plans from day one.

The role requires strong communication, a CSP/CHST/STS or similar certification preference, and the ability to travel and stay near job sites as schedules dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in occupational health and safety or related field preferred.
• CSP/CHST/STS or similar certification preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; OSHA 500/510 a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety for complex, large-scale projects.
• Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and orientations.
• Track safety metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and issue violations as needed.
• Coordinate preconstruction safety meetings and subcontractor coordination.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes with subcontractors.
