Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Project Safety Manager to lead on-site safety for large-scale construction projects nationwide. The role requires directing safety initiatives, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with safety plans across multiple subs and client reps.

You will conduct inspections, investigations, and stand-downs, while delivering site orientations and maintaining documentation. Travel is a key aspect of the position, with a demanding schedule on rotation for project cycles.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years construction safety on large-scale projects (healthcare, data centers, heavy/civil)
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
• CSP/CHST/STS or similar certifications preferred; OSHA 30-hour training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead
• Willingness to travel and live within 10 miles of job sites for travel cycles

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety efforts on complex projects with superintendents, PMs, subcontractors, and client reps
• Develop and ensure site-specific safety plans and compliance
• Track safety metrics and implement improvements
• Perform safety inspections and issue violations when needed
• Develop and administer site safety orientations and recordkeeping
• Lead safety portions of preconstruction meetings with subs and review hazards
