Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Project Safety Manager to lead on-site safety efforts for large-scale projects. You will collaborate with superintendents, PMs, subcontractors, and client reps to develop and enforce site safety plans and to monitor safety metrics on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires frequent travel, strong communication, and the ability to manage orientations, preconstruction meetings, and incident investigations across diverse environments including data

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of construction experience managing complex, large-scale projects.
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
• CSP/CHST/STS or similar certification(s) preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; OSHA 500/510 certification a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license in your state of residence.
• Proficient with Procore and safety management apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site safety efforts on complex or large-scale projects.
• Develop and ensure compliance with site specific safety plan.
• Track and assess project safety metrics for improvements.
• Perform safety inspections and issue corrective actions as needed.
• Develop site-specific safety orientations and manage recordings.
• Lead safety portions of preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings with safety content.
• Conduct site-wide safety standdowns and log attendance.
• Collect and manage subcontractor safety documentation.
• Collaborate on incident investigations to root causes and corrective actions.
