Job summary

Van Eaton Ready Mix Inc. seeks a Traveling Concrete Plant Batchman to batch and dispatch ready-mix concrete at various mobile plant sites across the region.

This role requires operating computerized batching systems, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring safety and quality compliance, with travel to projects around Wichita, Seymour, Lubbock, Amarillo, Odessa, and Midland.

The position offers a per diem of $143 per day, guaranteed 40 hours regular and 10 overtime weekly, plus strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in ready-mix concrete production or similar manufacturing.
• Knowledge of concrete mix designs, batching procedures, and quality control practices.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate automated batching systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized mobile concrete batching equipment to produce ready-mix concrete per designs.
• Monitor production for consistency, quality and accuracy.
• Schedule and coordinate concrete loads for timely delivery.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, customers and plant personnel regarding production and delivery needs.
• Inspect batching equipment and plant operations daily.
• Monitor raw material inventory levels, including cement, aggregates, admixtures, and water.
• Maintain production records and batch reports.
• Troubleshoot batching and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
