Job summary

Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is seeking a Portable Concrete Plant Operator to join our team. You will operate and manage batch plant equipment to mix concrete for airfield and highway projects, with extended stays at active sites across multiple locations.

The role requires 3–5 years in ready-mix operations, travel up to 100%, and valid driver’s license. NRMCA/ACI certifications are preferred. Join a fast-paced, safety-focused, and high-performing team in a growing construction company.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in ready-mix operations, concrete production, or construction.
Experience on concrete paving crews at airfields/airports (preferred).
NRMCA and/or ACI certifications (preferred).
Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and dismantle portable concrete batch plants as needed.
Monitor mix design components to ensure proper material blending and quality.
Operate batch plant machinery, pumps, conveyor belts, and other related equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and adjustments on batch plant equipment.
Track material inventories and coordinate material deliveries.
Maintain compliance with plant permit requirements and environmental regulations.
Keep plant areas organized and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
Collaborate closely with quality control teams and inspectors to ensure compliance.
Assist in enforcing safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
