Job summary

Ragnar Benson Construction, a MasTec company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support passenger and heavy rail construction, data centers, and commercial building projects nationwide. You will coordinate project documentation, manage submittals and RFIs, support scheduling and subcontractor activities, track costs, and assist with closeout efforts.

Travel to project sites across the United States is required; on-site work is expected for two weeks with a four-day home rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site
• Receiving and checking quality of materials
• Completing QA/QC checklists
• Submittals (material approvals)
• RFI's (general questions)
• Preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing
• Preparing project reports as needed
• Back up documentation and close-outs quantities
• Proposing/negotiation of extra work
• Support other duties within Project Management as assigned
