Job summary

Ragnar Benson Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a driven Project Engineer to support passenger and heavy rail construction, data centers, and commercial building projects across the United States. The role emphasizes scheduling, submittals, RFIs, and QA/QC while coordinating with project management and field teams.

This position offers on-site travel nationwide, a per diem, a company vehicle and fuel card, and opportunities for long-term growth within the MasTec Clean Energy &

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of civil or industrial construction experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; E-Verify used.

Responsibilities

• Preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site
• Receiving and checking quality of materials
• Completing QA/QC checklists
• Submittals (material approvals)
• RFI’s (general questions)
• Preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing
• Preparing projects reports as needed
• Back up documentation
• Close‑outs final quantities
• Proposing/ negotiation extra work
• Special projects within the Project Management function as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department
