Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an on-site Project Coordinator to support the project team on large construction projects and assist a project manager across multiple sites. Role requires frequent travel and knowledge of building systems.

You will coordinate materials, subcontractors, and services while ensuring documentation and plans are properly interpreted and shared with stakeholders. Ideal candidates have a four-year degree (or equivalent experience), 3+ years in construction, and strong

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field or applicable experience.
• 3+ years' experience in construction or project support.
• Ability to read design and construction plans, submittals, control diagrams etc.
• Intermediate ERP skills to review and print job cost reports.
• Good project financial acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Support a project team on larger construction projects, coordinating engineering, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
• Assist with project scheduling, billing and change order paperwork management.
• Provide interpretation of plans and specifications for the construction project team.
• Estimate the impact of project changes with PMs and Construction Engineer.
• Assemble submittal packages and other required project documentation.
• Assist with procurement of equipment, materials, subcontractors, and services.
• Analyze and resolve basic construction-related questions and issues.
