Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Engineer-Manager to lead project-level engineering and administration, ensuring information transfer across teams and adherence to contract requirements. You will supervise engineering staff and coordinate with field operations to implement plans and schedules.

Responsibilities include GMP budgeting, preconstruction leadership, QA/QC reviews, and close collaboration with design professionals, owners and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree + 8 years' related experience required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques; familiar with building systems.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Turner's Project Management and scheduling software desirable.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean to benefit the project.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings and specifications, contracts and subcontract documents.
• Strong oral and written communication; leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of contract documents (Turner contracts, plans, specs, codes).
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner engineering staff, including performance appraisals input.
• Ensure adherence to safety, ethics and compliance requirements.
• Oversee communication of information among project team members.
• Establish procedures with design professionals, consultants, owner and subcontractors for information flow and reporting.
• Work with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing on GMP or initial project budget.
• Lead preconstruction for Project Engineering needs on the project.
• Review construction documents for constructability and QA/QC; raise issues to design professionals.
