Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced leader to manage on-site security operations and to drive preconstruction across multiple data center projects in Long Beach, CA. You will develop client relationships, lead teams, oversee risk and cost decisions, and collaborate with business development on pursuits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of related experience, with extensive knowledge of BIM and lean principles to improve project delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field with extensive experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and accounting principles.
• Ability to develop client relationships and win work.
• Extensive regional market knowledge and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing across regions and coaching others.
• Executive-level presentation skills and proactive problem solving.
• Knowledge of BIM and lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee on-site security operations and team.
• Develop and implement security procedures for safety of people and assets.
• Lead preconstruction phases of multiple projects and supervise managers.
• Collaborate with BD on sales pursuits and client engagements.
• Develop project schedules, safety plans, constructability reviews, and estimates.
• Drive IPD/Target Value Design initiatives and process improvements.
• Co-lead Project Launch with senior leadership and ensure alignment with Profit Plan.
