Osmose Utilities Services is seeking an adaptable trainee to learn and perform wooden utility pole inspections. The role emphasizes safety protocols, field data collection, and adherence to industry standards, with extensive travel and outdoor work in varied environments.

The position requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate under demanding conditions while maintaining professional conduct and safe operations of equipment.

Qualifications

• Hold a current/valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting up to 40 lbs and hiking over varied terrain.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure safe operations and maintenance of vehicle and tools.
• Maintain a professional attitude representing the organization to clients and communities.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training on utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and integrity.
• Assist in identifying issues and contribute to maintenance planning.
• Complete inspection records and report to applicable codes/regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
• Maintain records for tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and government safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
