Osmose Utilities Services is seeking a Field Pole Inspector to ensure the safety, reliability, and functionality of wooden utility poles. This role involves extensive travel and collaboration with experienced inspectors to develop essential skills.

Responsibilities include learning inspection procedures, completing records, and reporting findings while adhering to safety regulations. The position involves outdoor work in all weather, lifting up to 40 lbs, and lodging when traveling.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check and a drug test.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and physical environment, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrate leadership to oversee safe operations and maintenance of vehicle and tools.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand the basics of utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn and follow inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition.
• Assist in identifying issues and developing a maintenance plan.
• Complete inspection records and report findings in compliance with regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
• Maintain records on tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and government safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
