Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a field-based Pole Inspector to join our traveling team. You will learn inspection procedures, assess utility pole conditions, and help develop preventive maintenance plans for reliability and safety.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, lifting up to 40 lbs, and extensive travel across regions. Training will be provided, with safety and regulatory compliance emphasized at every step.

Qualifications

• Possess a current/valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrate leadership to safely operate and maintain equipment and tools.
• Maintain a professional attitude representing the organization to clients and communities.
• Work outdoors year-round in varying weather and terrain.
• Exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, loud noises; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand basic utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and integrity.
• Assist in identifying issues and contribute to a maintenance plan.
• Complete inspection records and report using appropriate codes and regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily and weekly reporting activities.
• Maintain records for tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and governmental safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
