Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a field-based Pole Inspector to learn inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards for assessing wooden utility poles.

The role involves extensive travel and outdoor work across varied terrains and weather conditions. You will train to evaluate structural integrity, signs of deterioration, and related factors, while maintaining records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current/valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Outdoor, physically demanding work in all weather.
• Commitment to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand basics of utility pole inspections.
• Learn and follow inspection procedures to evaluate poles.
• Assist in identifying potential issues and maintenance planning.
• Complete inspection records and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
• Maintain records on tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and government safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
