Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Traveling Inspector to perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire protection and fire alarm systems across the state. This full-time role requires frequent travel to customer sites and a focus on accurate inspections, customer support, and NFPA compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of NFPA codes, ability to troubleshoot, and a valid driver’s license. Lifting up to 100 pounds and tech-savvy use of tablets or smartphones are required.

Qualifications

• NFPA codes knowledge and inspection skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Ability to travel and perform inspections at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform NFPA 25 inspections on wet, dry, deluge, standpipe, and related systems.
• Perform NFPA 72 inspections on fire alarm components.
• Perform NFPA 10 inspections on extinguishers.
• Troubleshoot and describe issues to owners/service managers for repairs.
• Schedule daily inspections and manage reports/tickets.
• Up-sell company capabilities to customers during inspections.
• Work at elevations from ladders/scaffolds up to 40 feet.
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely completion of work.
