Qualifications

• NFPA 25 inspections for wet, dry, deluge, pre-action, and fire pumps are required.
• NFPA 25 inspections on standpipe systems and fire hydrants are required.
• NFPA 72 inspections on fire alarm systems; NICET and license are pluses.
• High school diploma or GED is required; trade school is a plus.
• Must understand NFPA codes for each system.
• Backflow license and NICET Level II a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
• Valid drivers license with clean record; ability to obtain NICET.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting of wet-based fire systems and describe results to owners and service managers.
• Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations 30 to 40 feet.
• Conduct annual inspections on domestic and fire back flows.
• Monitor progress and ensure completion of tasks.
• Submit work tickets and inspection reports promptly.
• Schedule daily inspections self-sufficiently.
