Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Mobile Operating Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related building systems across multiple client properties in Charleston and Florence, SC. The role requires travel between sites to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in facilities operations, a high school diploma with technical training, and relevant licenses/certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with strong technical training in building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Valid stationary or universal engineer's license appropriate to the jurisdiction is typically required.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling, boiler operator's license, or electrical certifications may be required.
• Experience with commercial building systems, building automation, and CMMS is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related building systems across multiple client sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps and motors per schedule.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with managers, tenants, and contractors to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain logs and ensure compliance with safety, codes, and environmental requirements.
