Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Senior Superintendent - Mechanical/Electrical for a full-time traveling assignment across the United States. You will lead subcontractors and Turner trades on MEPS, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality and budget adherence.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of superintendent experience and 6+ years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction; BIM coordination; strong communication skills; 50–100% national travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum four (4) years of formal superintendent experience and a minimum of six (6) years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control.
• Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of building information modeling and its use in coordination of MEPS systems.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Leading the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor for MEPS on the project.
• Ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget.
• Supervising Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns plus trade labor.
• Developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
• Coordinating with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; reviewing changes with the Project Engineer.
• Managing the billing process related to work in place and subcontractor payments.
• Coordinating with engineers on 3D models and coordination drawings for MEPS systems.
• Leading inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training for system handover.
• Maintaining daily MEPS progress records and ensuring compliance with plans, specs, codes.
