Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a traveling Superintendent for Mechanical-Electrical work on a data center project in Houston, TX. You will lead subcontractors, manage safety, schedule, quality, and budget while coordinating with engineers and owners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6+ years ME/ MEP construction experience and strong leadership, communication, and BIM coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience required.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures.
• Proficiency reading contract documents, drawings and specifications; strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor on MEPS systems.
• Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work and budget adherence.
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns.
• Develop schedules and recovery plans to maintain timelines and budget.
• Coordinate with owners, architects/engineers on field issues and resolutions.
• Oversee billing, payrolls, invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work conforms to approved contract documents and BIM coordination sets.
• Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training.
