Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a traveling Superintendent for Mechanical and Electrical systems on a major data center and related markets. The role leads subcontractors, manages safety, schedule, and budget, and reports to Project Superintendent/Manager.

Travel is 70-80% with ongoing coordination with engineers and owners. Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years in MEP construction is preferred; strong leadership, coordination and BIM coordination skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience required.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget.
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns; provide performance input.
• Create schedules, sequencing of work, and recovery strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve.
• Review project changes with the Project Engineer; maintain daily MEPS records; participate in preconstruction.
