Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Float Medical Assistant to join our care team across multiple locations. You will support primary care physicians, perform clinical and front-desk duties, and travel within the state or region as needed.

This role requires flexibility, strong patient interaction, and the ability to adapt to different clinics and schedules. A formal MA program graduate with CPR/BLS is preferred; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where certification is mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, dress wounds and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, and coordination of care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate data in the medical record and communicate results promptly.
• Support outreach to patients to boost engagement and continuity of care.
