Job summary

Gardens Alive is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technology support across our retail garden center network. You will maintain reliable systems and respond quickly to issues in stores, offices, and operations, with regular travel to sites.

Responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, VPNs, and network gear; supporting POS systems; coordinating equipment for openings and acquisitions; and documenting

Qualifications

3+ years of IT or technical support in multi-site retail or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows-based computers, Microsoft 365, printers and peripherals.
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and cabling.
Experience supporting POS systems and customer-facing technology is a plus.
Ability to travel between sites for on-site support.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support for retail garden centers and offices, including hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues; escalate to IT partners when needed.
Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, networking gear, and cabling.
Support network infrastructure including switches, access points, firewall, VPNs.
Assist with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, and related systems.
Contribute to IT projects for openings, acquisitions, and integrations.
Maintain documentation of equipment and site-specific needs.
Travel to sites for on-site support and project work.
