Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Traveling Project Manager to join our growing team. You will manage all aspects of assigned projects, including budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and purchase orders, while maintaining professional interactions with owners.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager. A typical day includes preparing and reviewing submittals, coordinating with superintendents, assembling cost codes, managing subcontractors and material

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in large commercial construction project management.
• Strong organizational skills to handle varied tasks.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with owners and engineers.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality across multiple sites.
• Willing and able to travel up to 100%.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review, and return submittals for items to be manufactured or provided.
• Work with Superintendent/Operation Manager to determine equipment and crew needs.
• Assemble job cost codes and regularly update them.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries on major items.
• Review and approve subcontractor/supplier estimates and invoices.
• Negotiate, close, and coordinate all Extra Work Orders and CORs for scope changes.
• Monitor production, resource utilization, and overall job cost vs. estimated cost.
• Prepare monthly job cost/profit projections.
