Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to lead complex healthcare construction projects nationwide. The role emphasizes safety, schedule, and budget control, with full-time travel to project sites and coordination with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.

You will manage field teams, develop work plans, and drive Lean practices while aligning with JE Dunn’s standards and regional strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and promotes an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors, vendors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO) for projects.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates project site care, custody and control.
• Leads meetings (daily standup, weekly trade) and OAC updates.
• Creates and manages project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and cost reporting; tracks progress and changes.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design team and authorities.
• Supports procurement processes and selection of formwork/tools.
• Ensures quality compliance with specs and QA/QC.
