Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to develop and execute complex project plans while overseeing all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity. The role requires managing teams, planning construction sequencing, and aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.

This position involves 100% travel to project locations, with postings reflecting diverse sites and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Twelve or more years construction experience and ten or more years of field supervision are expected.
• Experience leading Lean principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Participates in project review and buy-out meetings as needed.
• Manages project schedule with the Project Manager and tracks budgets.
